Bio

Marina focuses on private sector development, impact investing and social entrepreneurship.  Previously, she worked as a Project Manager for the World Economic Forum’s Impact Investing Initiative and was a co-author, researcher and editor on several publications: Impact Investing: A Primer for Family Offices and Ideas to Practice and Pilots to Strategy series that showcases practical applications of leading innovations in impact investing. Prior to that, Marina assumed various roles in private and non-profit sectors. As a Senior Associate at Metropolitan Real Estate Equity Management, a private equity fund-of-funds manager, she managed portfolio analysis and reporting for funds with more than $2 billion in combined AUM. During her graduate studies, she worked on impact measurement project with Agora Partnerships, Columbia Impact Investing Initiative (CI3) as a board member, and Kazakhstan’s National Agency for Technological Development as a consultant on energy efficiency policy. Marina has lived and worked in the U.S., Latin America, Russia, and Central Asia. She holds a Master’s in International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) and a BA in Computer Science, magna cum laude from NYU. She is fluent in Russian and has a working knowledge of Spanish.
